Yoga Teacher Training 200 Hr.

The 200-hour teacher training is a precise and detail oriented yoga analysis course that will give you an intuitve knowledge and understanding of yoga. Your practice will transform and deepen and you will be a safe and trusted Yoga Teacher.  

Module I: Transform your practice through classes and alignment labs and begin to deepen your understanding of the philosophy and history of yoga.

Daily two-hour practices to transform your practice and illuminate teaching principles
History of yoga to contextualize the practice
Introduction to sequencing
Introduction to the YYoga Teaching Methodology
Introduction to meditation
Asana Labs to explore each student's asana and alignment for poses such as Tadasana, Downward Dog, and other standing poses
Anatomy modules: Planes of Movement, Tissues, Feet/Ankles, the Hip, the Spine, Core, and Shoulder
Introduction to Sun Salutations
Introduction to the Yoga Sutras
Introduction to verbal assists
Practice Teaching
Module II: Deepen your understanding of alignment and asana of more complex poses as you learn to observe others, assist students, sequence effectively. Begin to investigate the energetics of the practice through pranayama and energetic cuing.

Application of the YYoga Teaching Methodology
Asana Labs to explore each student's asana and alignment in complex poses such as twists, arm balances and inversions
Introduction to Pranayama
Anatomy modules: Inversions, Knee, Hands/Wrists, Backbending
In-depth exploration of the Yoga Sutras
Introduction to Hands On Assists and other advanced teaching skills
The Subtle Body
Module III: Step into the seat of the teacher through work including practice teaching, hands on adjustments, theming, ethics and the business of yoga.

  7:30  -    8:00 am  Morning meditation & review
  8:00  -    9:00 am  Philosophy
  9:00  -  10:15 am  Anatomy Module
10:15  -  12:30 pm  Practice to integrate teaching & anatomy principles
12:30  -    1:30 pm  Lunch break
  1:30  -    2:30 pm  Sequencing
  2:30  -    3:30 pm  Asana lab: alignment, risks, variations
  3:30  -    4:15 pm  Practice teaching, meditation, adjustments
  4:15  -    4:30 pm  Pranayama and closing

Day 8:  7:30 - 1:00pm
